Here is a great list of directory and search engine URL's where you can submit your
website. These search engine providers cover 99% of the searches on the
Internet. Included are some short descriptions that might help you.
Google
By far the most important search engine. Google powers Yahoo!, AOL, Netscape,

Non-commercial sites may be submitted for consideration for free. Commercial

You will need to find the most appropriate category in the directory, and click
on the "Add URL" button in the upper right hand corner.
If you try to stuff the description with keywords an editor may leave your site
un-reviewed, or delete it. Try to describe your site in a balanced manner.
Overture
The Overture SE is a pay per click search engine. Minimum click cost is 5 cents.
Overture has a very wide distribution including MSN Search, Yahoo!, Lycos,
AltaVista, and InfoSpace.
